About this deck
Talking about your family and your home is one of the first things you do in a new language. This A1 list gives you the words for close relatives (madre, padre, hermano, hermana, hijo, hija, and padres) and for the rooms of a house or apartment: cocina, baño, salón, and habitación.
You will also learn everyday furniture and parts of the home, such as mesa, silla, cama, puerta, ventana, and jardín, and the difference between casa and piso. Each flashcard has an English translation and a short example sentence, like Mi madre es profesora or La cocina está limpia, so you can see how the word is used. Once you know these words, try describing your own home and family in a few simple Spanish sentences.
